Frequently Asked Questions

• Is Kit & Kin multi surface cleaner non-toxic and free from harsh chemicals?

Yes, Kit & Kin multi surface cleaner is made using plant-based ingredients and is non-toxic, making it a safer alternative to conventional household cleaning products. It does not contain harsh chemicals such as chlorine bleach, phosphates, preservatives, or artificial fragrances, and it is also free from endocrine disruptors. It offers a natural cleaning solution that is both powerful and kinder to your home environment.

• Is Kit & Kin multi surface cleaner safe for babies, children and pets?

Yes, Kit & Kin multi surface cleaner is made with a non-toxic, plant-based formula, to help reduce exposure to harsh chemical residues on surfaces that little hands and paws come into contact with. It’s a great choice for families who want an effective everyday cleaner without compromising on safety, especially in kitchens, play areas, and high-touch surfaces.

As with any cleaning product, we recommend keeping babies, children and pets away from the area while cleaning is taking place, and allowing surfaces to dry before they return. This helps ensure the products are used safely and as intended.

• Are Kit & Kin multi surface cleaner bottles recyclable?

Yes, all Kit & Kin multi surface cleaner bottles are 100% recyclable and can be disposed of through your regular household recycling. The bottles are made from a blend of 50% rPET and 50% PCR plastic, which helps reduce the need for virgin plastic and lowers environmental impact. When used alongside refill pouches, the bottles can be reused multiple times, helping to minimise waste and support a more sustainable cleaning routine.

• Is Kit & Kin multi surface cleaner suitable for allergies and sensitive skin?

Kit & Kin multi surface cleaner is designed to be suitable for households with allergies and sensitive skin. The plant-based formula avoids harsh irritants and uses essential natural oils for fragrance. This makes it suitable for people with skin sensitivities, allergies, asthma, eczema, or those looking for gentler, non-toxic cleaning products that won’t leave strong chemical residues on surfaces.

• Can I use Kit & Kin multi surface cleaner on all surfaces?

Kit & Kin multi surface cleaner is suitable for use on most hard, non-porous sealed surfaces including countertops, tiles, sinks, appliances, and sealed wood. It is designed for everyday cleaning throughout the home, including kitchens and living areas. As with any cleaning product, it is recommended to test on a small, inconspicuous area first, particularly on delicate, unsealed, or natural surfaces.

• How long will Kit & Kin multi surface cleaner last me?

The length of time your Kit & Kin multi surface cleaner lasts will depend on how frequently you clean and the size of the areas you are using it on. On average, one bottle provides 4-6 weeks of regular household cleaning.

• How do I use Kit & Kin multi surface cleaner?

• Does Kit & Kin multi surface cleaner have a scent or fragrance?

Yes, Kit & Kin multi surface cleaner has a refreshing citrus fragrance, using essential natural oils. This provides a clean scent without the use of artificial fragrances or synthetic perfumes, which can irritate allergies and skin sensitivities.
